Loving it...
CAPTCHA CODES. I´m sure anyone with an email account, a social networking account, or, well just about anyone who uses the internet knows what they are, and anyone who does know what they are I´m sure they´d be willing to sell not only their gold bracelets, along with their right arm. These mysterious little combinations of words or numbers which are required when you sign up for most things, as well as commenting on blogs, facebook, twitter, and, well - the list goes on. What are they though? Wikipedia describes it as 'a type of challenge response test used in computing to ensure that the response is not generated by a computer'. It is a contrived ancronym for "Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart. I was unaware it was so hard to tell these days. All I know, is that they are for me both a burden and a constant source of entertainment which constantly amuse me, much more than the ads always asking me to cash my gold in.

They are a burden almost as heavy as a sack of scrap gold, in that it seems I am constantly required to enter these tricky little word combinations, or worse numerical and alphabetical combinations.Gah. It gets worse when they are case-sensitive, and are all mushed into an indecipherable black mess. It takes up time, and generally frustrates me as I am forced to think whilst trawling through the internet. A travesty in my opinion. However, they do happen to be an endless source of entertainment for me. Seriously, which computer generates the combinations? Whatever, whoever, they certainly have a sense of humor. Deigning Destiny, Always McNamara, SeAman Dr, Teardrop 35c, Following Finding, Postal Gold, Bruswig 44751 (though am not sure if that 1 really is a 1 or a 7...) I mean, these things could keep me entertained for hours on end. It is however, what I find to be a rather large embarrassment for any website which uses only the visual CAPTCHA code, rendering the site useless for any one with a seeing disability. A flaw, which actually angers me, as I see this as a level of discrimination (amongst many others, Wikipedia only uses the visual code) And it is for this reason I find the CAPTCHA CODEs unbearable.
